Primary bed, excellent comfort and support. Smell was almost non existent, no more hip and lower back pain since the first night, we can not say enough good things about this bed. Best bed we have ever bought by far.

Comments:

My wife and I purchased the queen-sized SonomaBed as well as the Out of Box Foundation, and have been using this as our primary bed for roughly 4 weeks now. TL;DR: great mattress and foundation, but a bit pricey. When shopping for a mattress, my wife and I had only two criterion (aside from price): firm mattress, and natural latex foam. The SonomaBed has delivered in those two characteristics very well. The mattress is very firm (but not uncomfortably so) and is made of Talalay latex. It comes with an organic cotton cover which we find to be very comfortable. While we've only slept on it for 4 weeks, the edges of the mattress have held up very well and have not deteriorated at all (which is an oft-cited problem with coil mattresses). The out of box foundation is as easy as shown in the promotional videos on their site. We took it out of the box, unfolded it, and it was ready to go. It's an innovative design, and an impressive piece of engineering. In terms of the quality of the mattress, we love it. The only reason I give it 4-stars instead of 5 is because of the price. The queen-sized version is $1600 before any discounts, which I believe is a lot to spend on a mattress (keep in mind, I'm a budget shopper). It's understandable, given that there aren't many vendors who sell natural latex foam mattresses, and I believe it is a higher quality product. But be prepared to shell out for it!

After checking other foam mattresses we did some research on Astra beds. I was apprehensive in purchasing online with out being able to touch or sit on the bed, but our salesman assured me we would not be disappointed. He was so right! My bed was half the price of the competition, and we have no issues. I have the adjustable and I love how when I wake in the morning there are no aches or pains. Well worth the money.

I was thinking about to replace my current innerspring mattress for long time which is 12 years old. I make a lot of surch from web about related products knowledge. I finally purchase from Astrabeds the SerenityBed Queen latex, the suggested fundation, Mattress Protector, Sheet Sets and pillow as well. It is total different feeling of this product vs. old mattress. my wife I all think we did good investment. Latex mattress support very good and the pellow is nice too.

I just moved into a new condo-room and wanted a good bed that was firm, made of latex, and supported my back without pain. I am a young woman and suffer a few minutes of pain in my back before bed - but no longer with this bed! I have never had a firm bed before, but this bed really is perfect. It's comfortable enough to even prop your elbows up when you're laying on your stomach on your phone before bed :) And of course, sleeping is just so easy with this bed. I have not tossed and turned even once with this bed. Absolutely super wonderful.

We have been very pleased with our mattress so far. Both my fiance and I have been sleeping better since we got this mattress. Overall we have been sleeping through the night better without waking up. We have only slept on regular spring mattresses in the past and they just seem to wear out and sag in just a few years. We are hopeful about the 25 year! if it lasts close to that long this mattress will be more than worth it.

Comments:

My lower back always tells me when I need a new mattress. However, my development of lower back pain over this past year was met with some resistence to believing I needed a new mattress yet again, since I just bought a high end traditional spring mattress only 4 years previously. But after reading up on mattresses and how soon spring mattresses can start to decline, I finally gave in to the fact that I did indeed need a new one. I had gotten to the point where I had difficulty pulling myself out of bed in the morning, and not only did my lower back hurt while in bed, my shoulder and hip had started to hurt as well. A friend recently bought a latex mattress from a different manufacturer and loves it, which prompted me to look into them. Based on reviews and articles I found online, I decided to on Astrabeds. I admit I was really nervous about making this purchase sight unseen and online, but I am now so glad that I did. I am a side sleeper but also read that medium firm mattresses tend to be best for lower back pain. I therefore decided on the SerenityBed medium firm. I was really worried about this choice as well and about whether I would need a softer mattress. But after several weeks of sleeping on this bed, my worries are over and I am a very happy camper. It is comfortable, I sleep well, and have no pain in my lower back or pressure points. I spring out of bed in the morning like I was a kid again. This is an excellent product that I would recommend to anyone in need of a comfortable and durable mattress. You will not be disappointed. One last note, service was great, the bed arrived reasonably quickly, and was easy to unpack and set up. Best purchase I have made, possibly ever.

Comments:

I have been sleeping on typical spring mattresses all my life, so I was really curious and confused as to what a latex mattress would feel like. I was worried that we might not like the change. My husband and I have slept on our HarmonyBed now for a week, and are completely happy and glad we made the decision to try Astrabeds. We feel like it is supportive and almost buoyant. If you are used to spring mattresses and like their general feel (compared to, say, memory foam), I think you will like an Astrabed. It was not a drastic change for us and holds us up sort of similarly- we do not "sink into" it at all, and there are no indentations of our bodies or anything like that. It even has a bit of bounce, sort of like a spring mattress. But, unlike a spring mattress, it truly feels both soft and supportive at the same time. It is comfy with an underlying firmness. Before purchasing, I read a great deal online about latex "pros and cons." I can happily report that we noticed NO latex "smell" at ANY point with this bed. It does not at all seem to "sleep hot" like some sites say latex does. My husband and I are both "warm-blooded" and tend to get hot at night, but we have felt fine. (The Astrabeds folks say that their mattresses actually sleep cool because of the all-natural components.) It also seems like I notice less when my husband gets up at night or rolls around. And it is quiet- no creaky springs! We have been perfectly happy with our HarmonyBed for sleeping, sitting up and reading, sitting to put on socks or shoes, and other usual bed activities. And, it was really cool to see how the bed and foundation were packaged small and then expanded when you opened them up. Amazing! The only con is that it is quite heavy and difficult to move around and the UPS people don't bring it into your bedroom for you, but I am happy to put up with that inconvenience to have a natural, non-toxic, comfortable, supportive, healthy mattress to spend our nights on. Very happy, and so…

Comments:

We purchased the medium-firm queen sized Serenity mattress as our primary use bed (and went way over budget for the natural latex instead of traditional mattresses). While both my wife and I feel that it is comfortable, we do not feel that our sleeping habits have changed on it, i.e. we either both get up during the night (me several times) - the same as I did on our old bed, or she wakes up at 4 or 5 am while still feeling sleepy. We also purchased the Out-Of-The-Box Foundation, and when our daughter jumps into the bed, or we sit heavily on it, it makes cracking noises. The delivery of both pieces was smooth, but the mattress is so heavy that it takes a couple people to move it at any time. Overall, we do like the bed, however, we were hoping that our sleep would be deeper and more restful.

We bought the Serenity bed to replace a Beautyrest that developed a cavity in less than a year. It was amazing how well packaged and dense the mattress is. I would suggest having someone help with the bed because it is heavy which I think you would want so it keeps its support. We love it so far, its been great on our backs and we seem to get much more rest and sleep than the bed we had previously.

We will be receiving a free gift for writing this review. However, it will still be an honest review. After the ordeal of putting the bed together, we lied down on our new bed and we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was. We immediately noticed the support that it provided. We were coming out of a ten year old top of the line Stearns and Foster, but we both feel that this bed is more supportive and more comfortable. There was a slight odor (not offensive) which is dissipating and almost all gone after 2 weeks. I will need more time to know if this bed helps my back, but the comfort far surpasses our old bed. The comfort is there for both sleeping and for watching TV in bed.
